The holiday season is quickly approaching, and with it comes merriment and an opportunity for new beginnings. But with every new year, however, comes a new tax season. Regardless of your personal opinions on taxes, it’s a necessity of every American citizen to pay their share into the Government’s budget.

Well, we’ve done some digging around and figured out exactly where your dollars are being spent – down to the very last penny. Some of our findings may come as a surprise, while others may not. Health Care, Social Security, and National Defense come in at the top three spots respectively – accounting for just over 65% of the overall budget – but what about investments into our nation’s infrastructure or our international affairs?
